Caroline Spelman MP opens new Sainsbury’s Petrol Station in Dorridge

The ceremonial ribbon was cut by Caroline Spelman MP (pictured) on Friday 7th June to open Sainsbury’s newly upgraded petrol station on Grange Road, Dorridge.

Also in attendance were Ward Councillors Ian Courts and Ken Meeson, as well as Peter Heywood from Dorridge Fun Run and Simon Thomas of local youth charity, Challenge Adventure Group, to whom Sainsbury’s has donated two kayaks.

The petrol station employs 13 colleagues and includes a new shop front, new signage, an improved forecourt with new pumps and canopy, and an upgraded car wash. There is also a small Sainsbury’s kiosk offering convenience goods, as well as a new cash machine.

Opening hours are: 6am – 10pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am – 8pm Sundays.

Sue Stacey, the new Petrol Station Manager, said: “We are all very pleased to open this petrol station in Dorridge today and are looking forward to welcoming customers to the upgraded facilities.”
